| June 10, 2006--Chicago, IL | Parade of Fashions Show - Prairie State University, Chicago Heights, IL A Fashion Show with a twist. On this day, they did wed, in a fashion show! A couple, much deserving of a wedding ceremony, but could not afford one, won the privilege of having one IN A FASHION SHOW. The idea was from Steven Taylor, of SSB Entertainment. He decided to offer a financially challenged couple a chance to win a wedding ceremony. Jennifer C. Smith, of J. Cheree Bridal, was contacted to participate as the donor of the bridal attire. This would include the bridal gown, the bridesmaid gown and the flower girl's dress. Also donated were the shoes and accessories for the bride and her attendant. "It is a perfect opportunity for me to bring what I do to life. How much more could I do for a woman, than to give her the dress of her dreams for one of the biggest days of her life." The ceremony was a surprise to the audience. It was set-up to be a wedding scene in the show, however the end of the scene was the actual wedding, officiant and all. Models Anshaunee Jones, Ana Comer and Azalea Hutchins participated to 'build-up' the scene by modeling other fashions from J. Cheree's Pink Label. Also present and assisting was Lauren Eldridge, who is participating in a Summer Internship with J. Cheree Bridal. Lauren is a recent graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor's in Fashion Merchandising. "I was blessed with the opportunity to be a blessing to someone else. It's a wonderful feeling. I do look to provide more donations as a part of my company's standards. With the costs of weddings rising steadily, it would really be a great service to offer this privilege to a deserving woman."
